Glenn Cook has worked in technology and communications for 40 years. He started GCT as a one-man telecoms contractor in 1995, and has spent the years since building and growing the business, adding a cabling team in the 1990s and IT services in the 2000s. When he’s not busy with the business he’s indulging his photography hobby, enjoying nature or hanging out with his three beloved grandchildren.
Originally from Hawke’s Bay, Mark and his family recently returned after 15 years in Wellington. With 24 years’ experience working for national and international service providers he enjoyed roles ranging from systems engineer to practice management before joining GCT in 2015. Like many in the industry Mark has worked through ground floor positions, senior technical roles and into business leadership. With a genuine interest in technology, he has dedicated his career to enabling client success through technology.
Brad Friis is proudly Hawke’s Bay born and bred, with an extensive background in marketing and sales. He is a strategic and creative thinker with a strong commercial business and people-centric focus. Brad joined our team in 2015, bringing his passion for developing dynamic learning communities and drive to advance what’s possible in modern education. Brads heads up GCT Education who are the Australasian channel partner for revolutionary learning management system (LMS) Schoology.
Jono joined GCT in 2008 as a cabling technician. He is a fully certified installation and design expert who enjoys the challenge of solving complex problems. With 9 years of installing Ministry of Education solutions into schools, Jono has built a depth of knowledge enabling him to provide consulting at the pre-construction stage. When he’s not on the road for GCT you’ll find him hanging out with his family, on the water or his mountain bike.
Steve is an IT systems engineer and technical advisor, with over 15 years’ experience working with Hawke’s Bay businesses. He thrives on getting to know the needs of local businesses, and helping them get the most out of their IT. Outside of work you’ll likely find Steve indulging his passion for tinkering with cars and DIY at home. You will also find Steve volunteering at the NZDRA drag racing nationals around the country.
